Help us complete the BIG birthday set this year!
We appear to be collecting milestone birthdays this year which is really rather exciting. I turn 40 in July (eek), my mother-in-law turned an ‘0’ last week on the same day as Mark, and my grandmother-in-law aka “the legend that is Gron” will be celebrating her century in August.
We hosted a family celebrating a 70th staying in the cottages for Easter week, the same family that celebrated a 60th here ten years ago so they obviously liked the place!! They arranged a fabulous Moroccan feast in the conservatory which they decorated beautifully. We extended the tables and seated 26. I would thoroughly recommend the local caterers, Field to Fork that they used!
Just today we’ve had a booking for a 60th in Hay Barn which has given me the idea of an optional extra birthday celebration pack containing a Happy Birthday banner, bubbly and balloons on arrival. Do ask for details.
We ended the yurt season on the first weekend of October last year with a sparkling 30th birthday party (I’ve not seen young men with gold glittered eyebrows and angel wings painted on their cheeks before nor seen so many sequins scattered everywhere!). They definitely had a fun time at their yurt fest!
We need to collect a 10, 20, 80 and a 90 to complete the set. What will you do to make your special day special? I look forward to seeing the ideas people come up with…
(And talking of special occasions we still have Christmas 2017 available to book. One family took all of the cottages last year and enjoyed a sit down Christmas dinner all together in the conservatory. Christmas trees are provided in all cottages and the conservatory is decorated too! Please call or email Katie for more information about booking. I’m hoping that our Christmas wreath making workshop will make a comeback and that we may arrange some more crafty workshops and artistic holidays in the Autumn. Watch this space for details. Do please ask me if you’d like a particular course – suggestions so far are watercolour and embroidery but we are happy to tailor things to requirements.)
