Halsbeer Farm is the perfect place from which to get on your bike and just ride. Whether you're a seasoned tourer, an avid mountain biker, or just want to get on two wheels to see the countryside we can point you in the right direction. We also have plenty of room to store your bikes and a place to hose that mud off after an epic ride.
Mountain bikers will want to make sure they visit Haldon Forest near Exeter with it's purpose-built trail centre. It has a variety of trails and a pump track with skills area that will keep everyone from the beginner to the advanced rider happy. If you fancy riding straight out of your cottage then the Blackdown Hills has a huge network of trails including the popular 13.5 mile Herepath loop. Or take your riding to the next level at Gawton - a purpose-built downhill track just an hours drive away. Dartmoor National Park and The Quantocks offer tons more potential to get off-road and there are plenty of resources to help you find the right track for you - see below for links.
If you're more at home on the road then look no further. From your doorstep here on the edge of the Blackdowns there are beautiful winding country roads that can take you south to the coast, high up onto the Blackdown Hills or into the wilds of Dartmoor.
If you're new to cycling, don't have bikes you can bring, or just want to get the whole family out on a ride we can point you in the right direction.
