We hope you have had a lovely Summer holiday. As August comes to a close we look ahead to Autumn and our two remaining months of the season in our self catering holiday cottages here at Halsbeer Farm. Visit Mid Devon is hosting the region's first walking festival during September - more details below - so if you and friends like pulling on your walking boots and enjoying stomps in the countryside read on. October brings harvest delights including Powderham's Food Festival and the Festival of Flavours at RHS Rosemoor, both on the weekend of 5th and 6th October and then half term and Halloween. Visit Mid-Devon want to hear about your experiences of staying in the region. There is a link to their survey below. AUTUMN AVAILABILITYThe three larger cottages are fully booked until 20th September but Apple Cottage (sleeps 3) has availability from 2nd September for both short and long stays. Cider Cottage and Swallow Barn (both sleeping up to 6) are available from the 20th and Hay Barn (sleeps 7) from 23rd September until the weekend of 11th October when we are fully booked. Minimum three night stays. We still have accommodation availability in both October half term weeks, depending on when yours falls. Week commencing 18th October Apple and Cider Cottages are available and Hay has a four night stay from 21st October. Our last week of the season from 25th October has availability in Apple, Cider and Swallow. In all cottages we can provide a cot and high chair if required. There are lots of guided walks, mostly free, but you must book onto them. Several of the walks are close to us including at National Trust Killerton, Uffculme, Halberton, Tiverton and include a bat walk on the canal.
